Our AI Maths Tutors achieve around 98–99 % accuracy in both working and marking. Each tutor is powered by OpenAI’s GPT-5 model and trained using our own in-house GCSE resources written in UK notation. We have created thousands of exam standard questions which have been used to train the AI Maths Tutors to operate at exactly the correct standard. Every AI Maths Tutor follows exact exam-board mark-scheme logic (M1, A1, B1) and explains each step transparently.

At present, students access the AI Maths Tutors through secure ChatGPT links, so each student will need a free ChatGPT account. No payment or Plus plan is required. In the next phase, tutors will be accessible directly through the Learn Maths Online website without the need for separate accounts.

Each AI Maths Tutor is designed to respond only to questions within its specific mathematics topic. If a student asks something unrelated — even another area of maths — the tutor gives a friendly reminder to stay on topic and continues to support only relevant learning.
This approach keeps every conversation safe, focused, and educational, ensuring that students cannot use the tutors for unrelated or inappropriate discussions. It’s part of Learn Maths Online’s built-in safeguarding framework, designed specifically for use in UK classrooms.

You can only access the AI Maths Tutors by signing into your account and following the links from the various modules. The module links are updated at least once a day.

All content is aligned with the UK GCSE (Higher) mathematics curriculum, covering the major exam boards. Each tutor automatically adapts terminology and phrasing to the board a teacher or student specifies, ensuring that examples, notation, and command words match the syllabus for each school.
